FAQS
The terms Counselling and Psychotherapy are often used interchangeably.
However, Counselling is considered a short term process that provides immediate support and strategies to manage current situations. Whereas, Psychotherapy is a longer term process delving deeper into the thoughts and feelings that underpin an individuals experiences and behaviours.
Integrative-Relational Counselling and Psychotherapy brings together a range of different counselling and psychotherapeutic theories and practices including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Transpersonal, Transactional Analysis, Existentialism and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from a relational perspective. Integrative-Relational Counselling and Psychotherapy is an effective form of therapy because given the diversity and complexity of human beings there is no single specific approach that is suitable for all.
